Trustees

The hall is a registered charity whose day to day management is carried out by a group of trustees appointed either by one of the various user groups or the community in general. The Trustees meet regularly to discuss day to day running of the hall, financial matters and to organise various fund raising events. Income for the hall come from various sources which include hire charges for groups, private individuals and fundraising activities. This, together with a £1000.00 grant from the Parish Council, covers the everyday running expenses of the hall such as heating and lighting, cleaning, insurance and day to day maintenance costs.

A building of this age naturally is subject to wear and tear and a comprehensive programme of refurbishment has been drawn up by the Trustees. For such refurbishment work and large capital purchases the hall relies on the profit from fundraising events, income from the 100 Club, easyfundraising programme, special fund raising activities run by user groups and grants from various outside organisations.

In 2015 the flat roof over the toilets and the windows were replaced, and a new commercial standard kitchen was installed in 2016.

The main hall and supper room were redecorated in 2020, and new window and stage curtains.

The toilets in the main hall were refurbished in January 2022
